So Big Ben is out for up to six weeks? Yeah, things were looking good for Steelers fans until that news. Still, it now puts them on par with what seems like the majority of the league, what with there being so many injuries going around at the moment to star players. And it could be worse, you could be a Cowboys fans, couldn’t you?
Anyway, more important than all of that, hopefully you followed our free golf betting tips on Wednesday, as not only did we get a nice win with Justin Rose finishing in the top four, but Jordan Speith repaid our faith in him by landing the Tour Championship. Sure, we could have gone with Jason Day or Rory McIlroy, but we knew Speith was the value play and he done us a nice favor. Yeah, he picked up $7.5 million because he won the FedEx Cup, too, so he won a little more than us, but you know what, after the money he’s made us this season, we won’t begrudge him that nice little pay day. So remember to check back each and every Wednesday for our free golf betting tips, as not only do we cover the PGA, but our resident golf tipster will also try and find you value on the European Golf Tour, the Seniors Tour and the LPGA. Hey, it’s free golf betting tips, what’s not to love?
The Rugby World Cup continued over the weekend, and if you’re English it wasn’t great, was it? And I know we have a lot of readers from the United States, so because I’m Scottish, we’ll just move quickly along and not punish you too much. In all seriousness, it was a great first-half performance from the United States, and the game has come on leaps and bounds over the years. Invest a bit more money into the sport and the USA will have a decent rugby team in no time. Good wins for Australia and Ireland yesterday, too. No action today, unfortunately. And in the other rugby code, the NRL Grand Final is an all Queensland affair, as the Brisbane Broncos got past the Sydney Roosters in what was a classic, and the North Queensland Cowboys beat the Melbourne Storm to secure their place. So not only has the State of Origin trophy gone back home to Queensland, but the NRL Premeirship will, too. It’s a bad time to be a New South Welshman, that’s for sure.
Now, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for September 28th, 2015.
Monday Night Football Betting Tip:
Kansas City are on their travels to Green Bay tonight, and Lambeau Field hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for them over the years. In fact, the Packers’ winning streak at home over the Chiefs runs back 10 games. Although they haven’t met here since 2003, so maybe don’t read too much into that! It’s not a bad match-up for the Chiefs on paper, as their passing rush should keep Aaron Rodgers at bay, and the various injuries to the Packers seems to give Kansas City the chance. If you’re a Chiefs fan, you just have to hope that last week’s shock defeat to the Broncos in 36 seconds of horror doesn’t affect the confidence too much.
If you’re a Packers fan, well, you just want the team to keep doing what they’re doing, and it should be plain sailing, right? Actually, yes. A comfortable win over the Seahawks last week sums up how solid the Packers are and how hard they are to beat. There is really very little left to say about that. Right now, the Packers are one of the few teams with no drama in the ranks, they’ve come out the blocks firing and should be confident of keeping their great run of form at home up. The line is 6 points is nice, and the Packers ought to edge this by a touchdown or so, purely on confidence alone, never mind how scary Aaron Rodgers is at Lambeau Field. Packers -6 is the play, in what essentially is a no-brainer.
West Bromwich Albion vs Everton Betting Tip:
So the NFL gives their fans a decent game between the Chiefs and the Packers, and what does the English Premiership give us? West Brom versus Everton. It’s sometimes not fair, is it? Anyway, on paper this looks like it could get ugly, with both teams relying on strong defences rather than amazing attacking prowess. I mean, come on, it’s a Tony Pullis side at home tonight, do you honestly think they’re going to ship a tonne of goals? Well, stranger things have happened, haven’t they, Manchester City fans? Sorry. But this doesn’t look like it’s made for goals, with three draws in their last four meetings, and Everton unbeaten away from home, a low-scoring draw looks to be on the cards here. Or, you know, either side could nick it with a goal and then defend for their lives. Either way, under 2.5 goals is the suggestion here. What an exciting way to finish the Premiership week!
