Sao Paulo vs Flamengo

Sao Paulo vs Flamengo Betting Tips and Match Preview – 10/05/2015

Sao Paulo resting key players!
Sao Paulo resting key players!

The hosts played their midweek match in the Copa Libertadores round of 16 and beat Cruzeiro 1-0 at home in the first leg, with striker Centurion scoring the winning goal. For this match I expect to see them rest some players, while they prepare for the second leg.

As for Flamengo, they had some time to rest, as their last match happened last weekend in a friendly against Icasa and beat the hosts 1-0. That was only a preparation for their debut in the league though.

They don’t seem to be in their best, dropping out of the Carioca State Championship in the semifinals and struggling against a smaller team, and even against Sao Paulo’s reserver they should have some problems and failed to win, leaving with a goalless draw.

Sao Paulo won’t count with two important players. They’ve been using to having striker Alan Kardec out now, as he’s been injured for more than a month, but midfielder Michel Bastos got sick last week and is still recovering.
Injured/unavailable: Alan Kardec (knee), Michel Bastos (sick)

Flamengo have some problems of their own as well, with four players out. As three of them are almost fully fit to play and should make their way into the team next round, striker Nixon still has some time in their medical department.
Injured/unavailable: Armero (fit), Nixon (foot), Paulinho (fit), Samir (fit)
