Real Madrid didn’t get completely positive result after the first leg, being now 2:1 down and in a must win situation at Santiago Bernabeu. First match was quite balanced one, but the Italians were more concrete, having better chances created during the ninety minutes. They took the lead in eight minute via Morata, with Cristiano Ronaldo replying twenty minutes later.
However, Juventus earned the victory thanks to a goal from penalty kick in 57th minute taken by Tevez. As said, now the team has to search for a victory here, while they almost surely were influenced with the importance of these two matches and made a setback in Primera, coming from a 2:2 draw at home against Valencia. They went very sluggish into the game, being 2:0 down already after 26 minutes, but the team woke up and started playing better from that moment on. However, goals from Pepe and Isco weren’t enough for complete overturn, as the team had ball possession and dominated the field, but didn’t simply score the third one. Two rounds till the end, team is now four points away from Barcelona and the only goal they have remains with playing the big finale of Champions League. Spaniards will miss midfielder Luka Modric (16/1) who is still injured, while doubtful remain striker Karim Benzema (28/15) and offensive midfielder Toni Kroos (34/2), but with decent chances for both to play.
Juventus can’t be completely satisfied with their victory in the first leg, as the team conceded a goal and will surely be awaiting much more tougher game in Spain. Their primary target was to remain with untouched net in first leg, knowing that the game in Madrid will surely produce some goals from Real Madrid’s side.
The team has already won the title in domestic league, so they have been playing league matches much more relaxed, also trying to rotate the squad as much as possible. Most recently, they come from a home draw against Cagliari 1:1. Juventus will be missing defender Martin Caceres (12/1) and defensive midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah (6/0), but anyway neither of them played a really important role for the new-old champions of Italy. Paul Pogba finally returned from injury last weekend and scored a goal, which almost surely means that he will be starting the game here. They will make plenty of changes in comparison to previous game last weekend, as the team have rested nine of their regulars against Cagliari.
Open game is expected here, as Real Madrid is now forced to field a very attacking lineup. They surely do have quality, as attack and scoring goals is what they know the best. Easy or hard they should get the qualifying card for the finale, probably reaching their goal after ninety minutes.
