Norwich wanted the victory more than Brighton and managed to go away with a very important victory (0:1). Early in the game Norwich showed their intentions and with the exception of some good moments of Brighton, the Canaries took full control of the game. It was obvious that the goal will come and indeed this happened in 62th minute when Bradley Johnson scored. Brighton played with three strikers in the final minutes, but Norwich had no trouble to keep the lead.
Norwich won another league position, they are now third in the Championship standings and they give everything for the automatic promotion to Premier League. Six games remaining by the end of the Championship and according to their coach Alex Neil, they have to win all six matches in order to achieve their target. No new problems for the match against Sheffield Wednesday tonight, only striker Lewis Grabban will be out of the squad.
Sheffield Wednesday could not take something more than the draw to the Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield (1:1). The game generally was bad, there was only a few good action, with Sheffield to be more motivated but without being overwhelming. They managed to score in 86th minute but Huddersfield response was immediate in 89th minute. Sheffield could have won this game, but they believed that the match ended when they achieved the goal.
Key left midfielder Jeremy Helan and main striker Will Keane did not played against Huddersfield due to injuries, so probably they will not be risked today too. Regular right midfielder Liam Palmer is still struggling with injury. As long Sheffield does not have a remaining target they have no reason to risk, so logically, Stuart Gray will make a squad rotation today.
Norwich have big motivation to win this one, so the odds are adjusted accordingly. Maybe there is not great value for Norwich to win, but Sheffield Wednesday does not seem well away from home and have nothing to play for except pride.
