Nancy comes from a 1:1 draw away to Creteil last weekend. However, it has to be said that the final result between the two sides were completely unfair. Not only their visitors have equalized in the second minute of additional time, but the overall picture on the field was completely on Nancy’s side all game long.
They were clearly superior side, dominating the field, while the team could have scored much more than only once, but in the end paid the price of inertia in their defense. Coach Pablo Correa was really disappointed after the game ended, saying that he can’t explain how his team losses points in matches where they look like a better side for so long. Distance to third position is now six points and the team is simply in a must win situation in order to keep that glimmer of hope for promotion. Home side will have few players out for this game, but neither of them making a proper influence this season. Between such will be substitute goalkeeper Guy N’dy Assembe (4/0) and right winger Alex Busin (6/0), both injured and unavailable for longer period.
Troyes, on the other side, comes from a completely fair 2:0 victory over Ajaccio. The difference between the two teams was more than obvious during the ninety minutes, as the players of Troyes were dominating from the start of the game, scoring two goals in the progress, while the Corsicans looked generally very passive and didn’t put much of resistance.
In case of a victory today, the team would mathematically secure the promotion, as they are completely clear top team of the league and with four consecutive victories the team seems to be in a perfect form. Coach seems to be more than happy in his recent interviews, saying that he is absolutely delighted and flattered with the work all the season long. Atmosphere is excellent, but the team will miss few important players for tonight’s game. They will once again be without defender Jonathan Martins Pereira (18/2) due injury. Striker Christian Bekamenga (22/6) will also lose his second consecutive game, while injured also are defender Rincon (30/2), while midfielder Guillaume Lacour (19/0) won’t play due suspension. On the bright side, striker Henri Bienvenu (21/2) returns into the team, probably starting this one.
Troyes will have some absent players for this game, but the team surely remains one of the strongest in the Ligue 2. Both teams to score will be my first choice here as I believe the chances for it are well above 50%, giving us an extra value in this bet.
