Leicester is making surprise after surprise, as the side comes from their fourth consecutive victory in recent weeks. This time, they walked away with a 1:0 victory away to Burnley last weekend, thanks to only goal scored from Vardy in 60th minute, just a minute after the home side has missed the penalty kick.
Anyhow, it seems that Leicester is more than worth of staying in Premier League, but the team has still a lot to prove and show, as they are now only one point above relegating placed Sunderland and nothing is yet decided for any of those teams. However, obviously the team is capable of making a miracle, as they have gathered twelve points in last four rounds, more than any other Premier League side. Facing Chelsea tonight, there is no doubt that the team would be fine with a point as well. Offensive David Nugent (28/5) is doubtful for tonight’s game, same as left midfielder Jeffrey Schulpp (28/3) and forward Vardy (29/4).
Chelsea, on the other side, comes from a goalless derby game against Arsenal away from home last weekend. With this point in hand, players of Chelsea are even closer of winning the title, as they have ten points more than Arsenal and can lose it only by really small mathematical chances.
The game itself didn’t have many offensive phases, with Arsenal being slightly better and more concrete during the game, but not enough in order to walk away with all three points in a deserved manner. Chelsea, as said, is very close to get the title and will surely seal it in next rounds, so the team doesn’t actually have a lot to play for at the moment, while the tradition lies with them against Leicester, as the team stands undefeated since 2001. Top striker Diego Costa (23/19) is doubtful for this game and probably won’t be risked. Under question mark are also goalkeeper Courtois (29/0) and midfielder Oscar (28/6), while offensive Loic Remy (16/5) remains sidelined with injury. Neither other striker, Didier Drogba is fully ready for tonight’s game.
Both teams enter this game with certain problems in attack. Especially Chelsea who most likely won’t have a fully fit striker, while their style of play away from home is anyway more conservative. Defensive minded game with less number of goalscoring chances is expected here.
