Kups is hosting HJK in Friday night’s class at Finland Veikkausliiga. Both teams are still unbeaten this season, and are trying to keep it that way. In history there has always been lots of goals between these two, and games has been quite even. In last four games against, there has been bagged 18goals. Although at this season both has played mostly unders.
Kups has been quite good so far, I wrote in some early seasons preview that Kups can have successful season, if everything goes well for them and at this rate it seems so. In three League games they have two 1-0 wins against Ktp and Vps and one 1-1 draw against Mifk away. Also they still are in Cup too. There has been one change in the squad after last game, they have signed striker from Lilleström, Norway. Joachim Osvold has arrived with loan deal and has already trained with the team yesterday. From this game they are missing quite a lot players when Juha Hakola, Miikka Ilo, Toni Markic, Nnah Chibuike and Ilmari Niskanen will be ruled out. Goalkeeper Joonas Pöntinen is back on squad. At this season Kups has defended well and when Hakola and Ilo are away from upfront, that will leave the scoring responsibility to Freddy Adu and Irakli Sirbiladze. Sirbiladze specially will be a threat for Hjk’s defense. Possible Lineup: Maanoja – Hatakka, Diallo, McCarthy, Rannankari – Trafford, Sohna, Poutiainen, Pennanen, Adu – Sirbiladze.
Hjk after a difficult start with two draws has got their game to roll better. They control the ball well and Demba Savage has been too much to handle for opponents. In last game they won Jaro 3-0 and Savage scored twice after he came in to field after halftime. After that match it seems that Hjk has won most of the problems, wingers are part of the game now and they see the situations when it’s better to change side than just push forward.
Actually all three goals in last game was made by wingers, when Erfan Zeneli scored the first one. So there still might be little problems with the strikers, Havenaar must improve. HJK also will miss some key players while Gideon Baah, Nikolai Alho and Osuman Jallow will be out. Baah is maybe the biggest loss, but there is Veli Lampi to take his place and he can do it very well, so there should be no worries. Hjk has also made a last second transfer when Toni Kolehmainen joined the team from Hönefoss BK Norway, but he is not available for this game.
Possible Lineup: Orlund – Sorsa, Heikkilä, Moren, Lampi – Lod, Schuller – Savage, Tanaka, Zeneli – Havenaar.
Now even though that these teams are used to backing goals, Kups has defended well this season because they have been forced to after their ballcontrol hasn’t been as good as they hope, so they are counting on the stick defense. So there will be quite clear plot for this game, Hjk is keeping the ball while Kups is defending and trying to score from corners, freekicks and from counter attacks via Sirbiladze. With these lineup information’s when there are absences from both teams, away teams odds 1.77 is something you can’t leave behind when we are talking about the team which is the biggest one in the country. Kups is going to give a good fight, but the difference with these two should show after 90minutes.
