HAVING sorted out the Super Single losses – Wednesday’s have still to be settled – I thought I’d got the Top Treble back on target.

But after both teams scored at Degerfors and in the Germany-USA friendly the third leg let me down as Gimnastic failed to net at Oviedo. It could have been covered after the USA netted but I wasn’t around to advise it.

I want to see how Brazil fare in their friendly with Honduras before putting up any top tips for Thursday with 8pts at stake.

There are some more friendlies on Thursday including Spain v Costa Rica and a Spanish play-off between Real Zaragoza and Girona.

England launch their Euro Under-21 finals campaign against Belarus and are no bigger than 1-6 with Ladbrokes. It’s no surprise when you consider attacking players such as Harry Kane, Saido Berahino, Danny Ings and Jesse Lingard are in the squad.

I’ll have closer look at this one in the morning but Kane to score first at 3-1 with Bet365 will be a popular bet as will Kane to net at any time at 4-7 with Ladbrokes and Betfred even if it is extremely short for this market.

The women’s World Cup resumes and the big game is Germany v Norway. Germany of course beat a weak Ivory Coast side 10-0 in their opener and are new outright favourites with the USA failing to impress in their 3-1 victory over Australia.

I watched the Germany game and while their finishing was superb their defending was slack at times. Ivory Coast had a perfectly good goal disallowed and missed three or four clearcut chances.

With Norway beating Thailand 4-0 it leads me to believe both to score at 5-4 with Coral is a good bet and a possible Super Single.

Dominating some coupons are the Concacaf and Asian World Cup qualifiers but I’ll be golfing in the morning so have no time to research these although there are many short-priced favourites such as Qatar at Maldives, Oman at India and Syria at Afghanistan.

I’ve started studying Copa America but you could do worse than check out the excellent previews on all three groups and team-by-team guide on We Love Betting, with guest input from Tim Vickery.

We Love Betting’s Mark O’Haire has done a fine job and I don’t have the time to match his efforts.

Having looked at tonight’s games I’m doing a form and stats-based goals treble for low stakes. If you don’t fancy the btts treble try singles or doubles with Oviedo the one I’d doubt most.

For the Super Single I’m putting 8pts – the remainder of my daily allowance – on Brazil against Honduras in their final warm-up before Copa America. Brazil won’t bust a gut ahead of Sunday’s Copa America opener but Dunga will want to maintain his 100 per cent record since taking over after the World Cup shambles.

He has won nine friendlies out of nine – keeping seven clean sheets – and wants to go into the tournament with a perfect 10. Neymar could get a runout after joining the squad following Barcelona’s World Cup triumph but Luis Gustavo and Oscar have been ruled out of the tournament in Chile so Dunga has some changes to consider.

Honduras are unlikely to trouble the Brazilians too much and I’m fully confident of a home win in Porto Alegre which is of course a short price at around 1-6.

It has the feel of a 2-0 or 3-0 Brazilian win so let’s go 4pts on Brazil to win to nil and 4pts on Brazil -2 Asian Handicap. If Neymar starts he’s worth backing at 13-5 with William Hill to score first.

Super Singles

4pts Brazil to win to nil (2am) pending
(8-11, BetVictor, Paddy Power)
4pts Brazil -2 AH pending

Meanwhile, Raaljaca’s goals thread started recently and he’s asking for donations to two cancer charities. In June we’re supporting another cause in the shape of Projects Abroad who send volunteers to work in poor countries all over the world.

My student daughter is raising money for a trip to a Romanian orphanage and this month all Buy a Beer donations (£3 minimum) will be passed on to Projects Abroad so click the button if you want to help.
