Nothing from me yesterday and in all honesty, there wasn’t much on today either! I do really like a couple of the Europa League games though so I’ve really focused on those!
Sevilla v Zenit – Europa League, KO. 20:05
It might be quite a contentious thing to say but in my opinion, even at this stage of the competition, I think these two sides could challenge many clubs left in the UCL and perhaps even come close to progression. Sevilla looked very good in a 2-2 draw with Barca the other day and are very good at home. With their attacking rotation between Gameiro and Bacca this one largely depends on who starts but after grabbing the equaliser in that Barca game in the 84th minute, I’m going with a man in form, Kevin Gameiro A/T @ 5/4 with Bacca under evens and offering little value. As for Zenit, Hulk and Rondon have both been a little iffy recently and I think this’ll be under 2.5 goals but if I had to, Rondon would be the better shout A/T @ 9/4 but I think this is a much riskier bet!
Dynamo Kiev v Fiorentina – Europa League, KO. 20:05
Sevilla rotate their attack a lot but Kiev take this to another level! Looking at their form guide, it seems to be a different striker every game! Yarmolenko seems to be the only constant but looks to be playing a wider role than the one that got him the opener against Everton in the last round. 19/10 is still a tempting price especially since Fiorentina are coming off the back of two consecutive 3-0 losses to Juve in the cup and Napoli in the league. For the Firenze side, they’ll be looking to get back on track but Ukraine is not an easy fixture. The key will be to start well for Fiorentina and if they can do that, I do fancy their chances but they will have to settle quickly! I’m tempted by Gomez but am still not totally convinced by him this season so it’s the second favourite – Mohamed Salah A/T @ 9/4 who has made an immediate impact! He scored in the 2-0 win against Sampdoria before those two losses and has been a constant source of goals! If Fiorentina play well and settle, he could definitely be amongst the goals.
Club Brugge v Dnipro – Europa League, 20:05
Brugge actually lost to Kortrijk 4 days ago but are still unbeaten at home! Tom De Sutter A/T @ 7/5 is such a good talent but Lior Refaelov A/T @ 7/5 is not one that I’ve mentioned before and is a good option from the spot and occasionally popping up with a goal from open play. For Dnipro, I’m a bit in-between and don’t want to definitively say either way. Seleznov A/T @ 5/2 has been in good form but Kalinic is back from injury. Again, another low scoring game I reckon with Brugge just edging it. Not so keen on the Dnipro attack.
Wolfsburg v Napoli – Europa League, 20:05
Wolfsburg could definitely have a repeat of another Italian giant killing but they themselves deserve respect this season! Dost and De Bruyne haven’t been on the scoresheet much recently and I am reluctant to back either. Consequently, I’m not backing anyone from Wolfsburg because I want to watch the game and make an assessment for their upcoming fixtures. Napoli however, he wasn’t amongst the goals in the 3-0 win against Fiorentina but could get back on track here – Gonzalo Higuain A/T @ 7/4. Maybe even a reverse score cast – Higuain A/T & Wolfsburg to win @ 7/1.
All of these prices are from William Hill and this is pretty much all that is on!
Best of Luck,
