Ostrobothnias derby between FF Jaro and SJK. There is always some extra electric in the air, when two teams from the same are playing against each other. VPS is the third team from the same area so one of these three is once again going to be the king of Ostrobothnia. Last year it was SJK of course as they reached the second place of the league. This season SJK and Jaro has already faced two times in the league cup, in those games SJK was the dominant side and won both games with goal difference 8-3.
SJK is coming from a home game against Rops, as it supposed to be hard game for SJK and even they took all the three points with 1-0 victory, the game itself didn’t look good at all. SJK was not able to rule the game and there was mostly a long balls played towards the left side for Pelvas or Vasara, that is one thing what should change because SJK’s strengths are entirely in somewhere else than in long balls. Corners will also need some practise, they all were played long to the back post where was no one else than Pelvas and he couldnt reach the too high balls. There is so much skill and quality in the team that they should be able to dominate the games like they has done in past years. All tough must be said that at the firsthalf there was a penalty taken from SJK and Tuco got booked for filming, when there clearly was a foul. That goal might have been changed the game entirely, but there is no need for but’s because the game is already played and home team took it. Still, there was chances for Rops to score too but goalkeeper Aksalu take at least two gamesavers in that game. The preparations for this game against Jaro is easier for SJK than it was against Rops. Now they already know exactly how Jaro is going to play and what are their strengths and weaknesses. That’s because Jaro has played with the same system for a years now. They are giving the pressure up high and trying to keep the ball at the ground , so that should fit for SJK’s game style better too. Also there is three guys in SJK who has played for Jaro before; Timo Tahvanainen, Marco Matrone and assistant coach Chris Cleaver, so Jaro’s systems are clear to SJK. SJK is continuing their games without any major injuries. Bahrudin Atajic is a worth of mentioning, at the league cup he bagged three goals against Jaro and last weekend in he’s league debut he scored the SJK’s only goal too.
FF Jaro has yet played only one league game. At the first round they faced IFK Marienhamn and were able to get a point in the 1-1 draw, even they didn’t fully deserved it. Marienhamn was clearly a better side in that game but when Jaros Jamar Dixon “killed” Petteri Forsell, Marienhamn got a bit frozen. Last season was really good for Jaro, but for this season there is too much changes in the squad. They have lost players like Hendrik Helmke, Fredrik Svanbäck, Carlos Fodacaro, SHahdon Winchester and Aubrey David, and all of those were in the starting lineup. For replace they got Jani Virtanen, Reginaldo, Walter Moore and Didier Boris Kadio and after the start of the season there has also Jose Rivera joined the team. Last years top scorer Jonas Emet also stayed in Jaro, but he has been injured for a while already. Also there is some problems with goalkeepers too, Emil Öhberg has not shine in the winter games and Jesse Öst has not found his normal level yet. From the game against SJK there will be two wingers ruled out while Kevin Larsson and Mathias Kulsström are injured. The players worth of following in Jaro are the youngest Eremenko, Sergei who has born 1999 and might be the most talented Eremenko, so there is a chance that Roman is not the last professional in that football family. Also there is Serge Atakyi who is at the same age.
For this game the storyline is clear. SJK is a much better side and should be able to get their game to roll against weaker Jaro. They have already won Jaro twice at the LeagueCup, so there is no reason why they should not be able to take this one especially when the winters injuries are over and SJK will have a full squad lined up for this clash, while Jaro has a bit problems with goalkeepers and there is two opener wingers to ruled out. Bravest will go with higher odds and hunting SJK’s big win while sjk-1 is giving odds as high as 3.45 (ehc) but I will take more safe one, when odds are still quite high in my opinion, SJK to win.
