Atalanta isn’t playing that well recently, but the team managed to stay undefeated for the fourth consecutive match, coming from a 2:2 draw away to Cesena. It was a game where they actually could have taken all three points, at least by looking at the individual quality by both teams, but the visitors from Bergamo won’t be too disappointed with a point as well.
They were a bit more concrete with the ball to their feet, but the hosts were those who had 2:1 lead and players of Atalanta had to search for equalizer late in the game, finally getting it eight minutes before the full time whistle, both goals being scored by Pinilla. Five rounds till the end, Atalanta now has eight points more than relegation placed Cagliari, meaning that the team still isn’t safe and has to search for points at least when playing at home. Central defender Yohan Benalouane (23/1) and forward German Denis (31/8) are both suspended, while the hosts also miss central back Nicolo Cherubin (11/0) and right midfielder Cristian Raimondi (6/0) being injured.
Lazio took clearly deserved 4:0 victory at home against already relegated Parma on Wednesday evening. They had three goals lead already after twenty minutes of the game, as Parolo, Klose and Candreva brought them 3:0 lead, while Keita sealed the final score in 81st minute. Generally, once the hosts had 3:0 lead, the game was very open and the visiting side probably have deserved to score at least a goal as well.
With this victory, Lazio got back to winning ways after losing to Juventus and drawing at home against Chievo, as the team continues being second at the table with two points more than Roma. No doubt that the target is to remain second in front of their arch rivals, but also to get the direct qualifying ticket. With the exception of defeat against Juventus on the road, Lazio had six previous victories away from their fans and will be looking to bounce back to positive results again. Striker Miroslav Klose (30/12) is now suspended, while other striker Filip Djordjevic still isn’t fully fit, but will probably be given some playing time here. Visitors continue to miss central backs Lorik Cana (17/0) and Stefan de Vrij (27/0), defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia (25/3), all three due injuries.
Lazio will surely be playing to get a victory here, but Atalanta is also playing quite well in offense and will surely make number of goalscoring chances. Open game is expected here, especially once we see a goal here, with chances for over 2.5 goals being much higher than the current odds show.
