THERE are two big games in the Championship on Friday with Bournemouth travelling to Brightonand relegation-haunted Wigan heading for Fulham.
Bournemouth battled back brilliantly from 2-0 down to win 4-2 on Easter Monday and that showed bottle. They are in a position to do something special and I’m backing them to beat a Brighton side on a bit of a downer.
At a price of just under evens I’m making Bournemouth my Super Single although their last two trips to the AMEX have ended in 1-1 draws.
Wigan sacked Malky Mackay after their latest defeat to Derby on Monday and have appointed Gary Caldwell as boss. For me it’s too late to be the saviour but it will be interesting to see if he has any immediate effect.
All Wigan’s recent wins have come on the road so they won’t be completely short of confidence for the trip to Craven Cottage but I’d have to favour the home men. Charlton have won the last four meetings between the sides scoring exactly two on each occasion so over 1.5 home goals has a chance – and they netted three in a thrilling draw at the DW earlier in the season.
There are coupleof games I’ve looked at on the continent and PSV v PEC over 2.5 goals looks a decent shout with the last seven PSV games bringing up this market and Zwolle conceding 23 in 14 road trips.
Monaco travel to Caen in Ligue 1 and amazing stat is the fact the home side are unbeaten in 10 meetings with their more illustrious opponents and although all haven’t been in recent memory it was 2-2 when they met this season. Anyone for Caen on the double chance?
